3 natural foundations tried and tested.

Dec 23, 2018

Okay, so technically it's two BB creams and one foundation, but since one of the BB creams actually gives more coverage then most foundations and still requiers a daycream underneath, I figured I'd just throw them all into the same pot. So, like I've said here before, I am no make-up pro, but I do have an honest opinion about these products and I always like to share.

1. Lavera Natural liquid foundation

Let's start with the actual foundation. I already talked about this one on the blog, while sharing some of my favourite natural beauty brands in general. And what I said about it then still stands. The Lavera natural liquid foundation gives a fair amount of coverage and it smoothes out easily. Their lightest shade is perfect for me during summer, but maybe a bit too dark still in these winter days (my natural skin tone is now quite close to a ghost's complexion right now).

2.  Weleda Beauty Balm

I absolutely love Weleda for their rich shower creams and bath milk - and their Skin Food cream is a miracle worker. BUT, I do believe they still have some work to do when it comes to their BB cream. This tinted daycream has hardly any coverage and it does not match my skin tone at all. I also find the texture to be a bit sticky. I do like the packaging though!

3. So' Bio Etic BB cream

As you might have guessed, I saved the best for last. Ever since trying So' Bio Etic's BB cream I haven't wanted anything else. It just smoothes out so evenly, has great coverage, matches my skintone perfectly and leaves it looking almost flawless, but still natural. As metioned in the intro, you can't use it as daycream and foundation in one though. It definitely needs a day cream underneath or else you skin will be way too dry.
I have got quite some compliments on my even complexion since I started using this cream, so naturally, I'm thrilled about it! I can imagine, some people who prefer to look very au naturel might find the structure a bit too thick and the coverage a bit too much, but I just really like it that way.

I did notice while searchig for a proper link that it seems to be sold out nearly everywhere, so I fear that they might no longer produce this product - WHY, oh why do they ALWAYS have to that with products I love?! But anyway, I did see that they have a similar CC cream and also a BB cream with lighter texture, so these might be worth checking out once my stash is depleated.

Now, what are your favourite (natural) foundations or BB creams? Shoot!
