Today I wanna talk about winning wardrobe teams. You know, when people work well together and lift each other up, they make a great team. Well, the same goes for items of clothing. Some pieces just pair together so well, that you wanna wear them together over and over again. Why change a winning team, right?! Sure, experimenting with different ways to wear things can be fun, but when you're already running late and feeling like you don't have anything to wear it just feels so nice to have your winning teams to rely on. It saves you the time and trouble of styling an intire look and you also have the guarantee that you'll feel confident and comfortable all day.
By identifying my winning wardobe teams, I have become a proud outfit repeater, which is yet again another way to make your closet more sustainable. After all, loving what you have, wearing it a lot and making it last is such an important step towards reducing waste in the feshion industry.
Like the sound of it and wanna find out what your winner combos are?
Make an inspirational Pinboard
I don't know how it would possible that some people still aren't on Pinterest, but if you're not get your butt over their and start collecting some outfit ideas. Streetstyle snaps, looks from your favourite bloggers and or grammers, items on your whishlist, etc. Pin 'em all and then (after a week or so) take a step back and look for returning patterns in the outfits you saved. Such as say, a pairing of jeans with a white sweater and a checkered blazer or coat that just keeps coming back? Find these items in your closet (if you don't consider investing in them) and team them up!

Keep track of what you wear
You don't neccessarily need to get inspiration from others though. You can just keep track of what you wear, by taking a quick snapshot of your looks daily (without the pressure of them looking good enough to be posted on the gram). Take some time looking back every week and save the looks you like the most or the ones you remember feeling super good in for future reference.
Have a "fitting room" afternoon
Spend an otherwise dull Sunday afternoon playing shop in your own wardrobe. Try on all sorts of different looks, experiment with several pairs of shoes, add the right accessories, and change your pair of jeans again until you find several looks that really work well. Write or sketch down the best 5 pairings and hang 'em up next to your mirror. Et voilà! Instant inspo to relieve you from a dressing block.
Parttake in a 10 x 10 challenge
The 10 x 10 Style Challenge is a closet experiment established by one of my favourite minimalist bloggers Style Bee. What does it entail? You basically pick 10 items from your closet and for the next 10 days, make 10 different looks using only those items. This exercise not only forces you to think about which are your favourite and most versatile items, it also shows you that with a simple change of shoes you can keep the same skirt and sweater combo (after a few days you really run out of options ;)) still fun and interesting. A lot of my winning teams were discovered during this challenge!
